Who is this guy? Juan is the #2 prospect in the Chicago Cubs organization, behind CF Corey Patterson. Between Single-A Lansing, and Double-A West Tennessee (by July, 2001), Juan had built up an impressive 15-6 record, while carrying about a 3.00 ERA. Showing killer instincts, Juan got his first taste of the Bigs by September, 2001. While he earned a spot in the rotation in Spring Training, 2002, he's only 20 years old, and (true to most young flame-throwers) was a little bit inconsistent in the early going.
