Who is this guy? Bobby was the Pirates' #1 draft pick in 1999. He pitched extraordinarily well in his first professional season (2000), playing for Single-A Hickory. He demonstrated awesome command, as evidenced by the 149 SO's and only 25 BB's in 114 pro innings. Although he had some elbow problems midway through the season, Bradley came back to finish the season strong, and pitched well in Winter Ball. The 2002 season, however, only showed more of the same, as the injury bug struck again...this time knocking Bobby out for the remainder of the season. The Pirates don't intend on rushing Bradley, but he could still end up a top-of-the-rotation starter by September, 2003. His stuff has been some of the best of any pitcher in the Minors. By next year, he could have some of the best in the Majors.
